Firearms Training Classes
Price does not include fingerprinting fee and State Police fees
Maryland Wear & Carry Permit - This course satisfies the State mandated 16-hour classroom and firearms qualification (range time) requirement enabling you to apply to the Maryland State Police for a Handgun Permit (HGP). This course also meets the training requirements for a Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL). See the Maryland State Police Licensing Portal for detailed eligibility criteria for a HGP and HQL.
Maryland Wear & Carry Permit Renewal - This course satisfies the State mandated 8-hour classroom and firearms qualification (range time) requirement enabling you apply to the Maryland State Police for renewal of a MarylandHandgun Permit (HGP).
NRA Home Firearm Safety Seminar - Non-shooting 4 hour course that provides a general introduction to firearms and firearms safety. This class enables the student to develop the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to safely handle firearms. It is ideal if you want to explore before making a decision to purchase a firearm or get a handgun permit. An optional short range visit will allow the student to apply for a Handgun Qualification License (HQL) that is required to purchase a regulated firearm (handgun) in Maryland.
Private Instruction – We also provide private/individualized training/consulting for those who prefer that option. Because of the time required for the 16 hour concealed carry course, this is not typically well suited to private instruction. However, we are flexible if you prefer private classes. Reach out to us if you have questions about this option.
We focus on handgun instruction and do not provide shotgun or rifle classes. We would be happy to refer you to one of our trusted partners who teach those classes if you are interested.
