Who We Are

Orpheus Defense is committed to providing professional training that empowers individuals to take responsibility for their personal safety and security. Our instructors have in-depth experience in multiple security domains and firearms training. We are licensed by the Maryland State Police as Handgun Qualified Instructors (HQIC), Security Guards, and Authorized Security Guard Trainers by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission. We also hold multiple Instructor credentials from nationally recognized organizations such as the NRA and the U.S. Concealed Carry Association.

Our founder is a military veteran with 28 years of law enforcement experience. While this background informs our training approach, our primary focus is on educating and equipping everyday citizens with practical skills, sound judgment, and the confidence needed for responsible firearm ownership and personal protection.
